Jackson

Completed in the fall of 2022, Jackson is an affordable housing project in partnership with the City of Evanston and Housing Opportunity Development Corporation.

This two-bedroom, all-electric ADU will be rented at or below 60% of the area median income (AMI) to qualifying tenants on the City of Evanston’s waitlist for affordable housing.

The project features a two-car garage, laundry and a bonus room for an office, storage, or exercise on the first floor. On the second story, there are two bedrooms, a bathroom, and an open space with a kitchen, living, and dining area. Given the need for affordable housing for families in Evanston, Jackson was designed with the goal of being suitable for a small family.

This project was built with patented Eco-Panels, a structural insulated panel (SIP) system, for which EDC is the exclusive distributor and installer in the Chicagoland area. Watch a time-lapse video of the SIP panel installation for Jackson below.
