Designed by Remake Architecture, Broadway is meant to feel like a tree house nestled among 300-year old oak trees, Broadway Avenue is an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) that operates as an all-electric commercial kitchen bakery. The small footprint and special foundation system minimizes its impact on the tree roots. Above, the perched volume has 10-foot walls pitching to an expansive cathedral ceiling, all of which is wrapped by Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs) and detailed to be incredibly airtight and well insulated.

The ADU has extremely efficient space heating & cooling (ductless mini-split air source heat pump) with an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) to provide continuous fresh air while recapturing the indoor heating and cooling. It has a 400% efficient air source heat pump water heater, induction cooking, and LED lighting throughout.
